Soldier Steals "Tank", Takes Police On 60 Mile Chase Across Virginia Streets

RICHMOND, Va —  June 6, 2018

A soldier was arrested late Tuesday after he stole an armored personnel carrier from a Virginia National Guard base and led police on a more than 60-mile, two-hour chase through Virginia, according to NBC 4. State Police Sgt. Keeli Hill, the suspect, took the vehicle Tuesday evening from Fort Pickett. She says the chase ended in Richmond when he abandoned it and was then taken into custody near City Hall.
